FIFA announced today the revision of the schedule of matches of the fourth round of the first set of double qualifiers for the World Cup and Asia.
The International Federation adopted the match of our national team with Guam at the Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai and considered it the first leg to be the return meeting in Guam next June.
The decision was made by FIFA to avoid any problem that might hinder the meeting as scheduled on 15th of next month in Guam, especially after the Football Federation Secretariat sent official books explaining the regulatory procedures requested by the US Embassy in Beirut and set the date of October. Due to lack of time and difficulty in obtaining the necessary visa and to prevent any delays in the meeting, it was decided to amend and consider our team's game with Guam next October in their virtual home in the UAE.
