Australia's Samantha Stosur defeated Swiss Victoria Golubic 2-6, 7-6, 6-1 on Saturday to reach the final of the Guangzhou Chinese Open.
"I tried to hold together and find a way I could play better," Stosur said. "It was a very difficult encounter."
The 35-year-old Stosur will play her first final since winning the Strasbourg championship in 2017, where she will face third seed Sofia Kenin of the United States tomorrow.
