Syria's Olympic team beat Jordan 1-0 in a friendly match in Qweismeh, Amman, as part of their preparations for the AFC U-23 Championship finals in Thailand.
Fares Arnaout scored the only goal in the 77th minute.
They meet again on Thursday in a second friendly.
The Asian Under-23 finals will be held in Thailand early next year and the draw for the finals will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, on the 26th of this month.
The 16 teams qualified for the finals were divided into four levels according to criteria related to the results recorded in the last version and qualifying for the current version. Our team came in the fourth level along with Iran, UAE and Bahrain.
