Fast internet and fast players, a boycott of humor and two off-goals. VfL Wolfsburg and TSG Hoffenheim have parted in an eventful Monday match of the Bundesliga 1: 1 (1: 1). Sebastian Rudy scored the lead for Hoffenheim (6th minute), Admir Mehmedi equalized (36 '). Two more goals for Wolfsburg were withdrawn because of offside positions.
Before the game, VfL had presented a new digital strategy. In the future, fans in the stadium should be able to use the fifth mobile generation "5G". This should be visible to the fans in real time, how fast the striker is, which is just beginning to sprint on the opposing goal.
Both fan scenes protested, but not because of the new technology, but against the already abolished for the season 2021/2022 Monday games. The mood boycott seemed to make only limited sense to the players in the field. Rather, they made especially in the first half for an exciting encounter.

The next goal fell because Renato Steffen was faster than the entire right side of Hoffenheim. At his own penalty he got the ball from his goalkeeper, sprinted down the entire left wing to the downside of the penalty area and fitted in the middle. There Mehmedi played the ball to Weghorst, who played with his teammate by hoe a nice double pass. From an acute angle surprised Mehmedi goalkeeper Oliver Baumann in the short corner and met to equalize (36).
After the hit a thrilling football game developed. First Weghorst failed with a lob over Baumann on the run back Grillitsch, who cleared the ball before the line (38.). Then a Wolfsburg goal by Brekalo was called back because of a controversial hand decision (39.). Only a short time later Hoffenheim Robert Skov shot the ball from the edge of the box to the bottom of the bar, from where the ball bounced first on the line and back out of the gate (42).
In the second half, both teams played out significantly less chances. Wolfsburg came through Mehmedi to the supposed opening goal, but again referee Benjamin Cortus decided on offside (61). In the final stages missed Christoph Baumgartner (81), Sargis Adamyan (87) and Skov (90 + 3) the winner for Hoffenheim. Pervan held strong twice and Skov put the ball just past the far post.
