After violent scenes in a youth football game, a team of TSV Burgdorf in Lower Saxony is banned for half a year. The C-Youth would be excluded by March 21, 2020 from the game operation, said a spokesman for the Lower Saxony Football Association (NFV). This decision was made by a sports court on Sunday after a 13-year-old FC Lehrte player was hospitalized and injured on Saturday.
The reason for this was stated: A player who was lying on the ground should have been kicked by Burgdorf players with stud shoes so much that he suffered internal bleeding. The Burgdorfer had fallen after a foul on the boy, as the "Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung" the chairman of the FC Lehrte, Marcus Bartscht quoted. Bartscht spoke of a "violence of violence". The referee stopped the game prematurely.
According to the Burgdorf police, the players of both teams had already clashed before. Thus, Lehrter players should have been racially insulted by their opponents.
Two weeks ago, a game with Burgdorfer participation had already been canceled. The now pronounced lock applies for the time being until the completion of the procedure, said the NFV spokesman.
