Madrid - The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has imposed a financial penalty on FC Barcelona over Atletico Madrid's complaint that the Catalan club negotiated with former Atletico player Antoine Griezmann before the legal term.
The Spanish sports daily reported that the Spanish federation had fined Barcelona only 300 euros after Atletico complained about the refusal of the competition committee in the federation to propose to play a match without public at home Camp Nou, saying that Barcelona's error in the case of Griezmann does not deserve a harsher penalty.
The complaint by Atletico claimed that Barcelona had negotiated with Griezmann before reducing the penalty clause from 200 million euros to 120 million euros and therefore the right to the Spanish capital to receive another 80 million euros for the transfer of the French star to Barcelona.
