Berlin-Sana
Former Freiburg president Fritz Keller was unanimously elected president of the German Football Association (DFB) today.
Reuters reported that Keller received 257 votes from delegates of the German Federation at the General Assembly meeting.
Keller was the only candidate for the committee set up to choose a new president of the seven-million-strong federation and will succeed Reinhard Grindel, who resigned in April under pressure from an income from a German federation company and an expensive watch as a gift from a Ukrainian businessman and football official Gregory Surkis.
