At the World Athletics Championships in Qatar, there was even before the first medal decision, the first winner: in the lead over 5000 meters, the severed Braima Suncar Dabo from Guinea-Bissau the completely exhausted Jonathan Busby from Aruba under the arm and dragged him under the cheers the audience over the last half round.
Arrived at the finish, Dabo pushed his companion Busby then also first over the line - about five minutes behind lead winner Selemon Barega from Ethiopia.
"They did not come here to drop out."

"I just wanted to help him achieve the goal, and I think everyone would have done the same," said Dabo. Busby thanked him.
For both outsiders was ultimately a personal best, for Busby the clock was at 18: 10.68 stand for Dabo at 18: 10.87 - but both had previously denied any official 5000 -meter race.

Busby's best time did not last long. Because the World Federation IAAF showed little heart and disqualified him, because he had enjoyed unauthorized assistance under Rule 144.3.
Dabo and Busby are the only World Cup participants in their nations. Both had received special invitations, which also allowed countries without large running programs to send athletes to the World Cup.
