World number four Daniel Medvedev of Russia reached the final of the eighth Shanghai Masters tournament in a thousand points in the day with a victory over the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas 7-6, 7-5, 7-5.
The 23-year-old has qualified for the final of a tournament or ninth time this year and sixth successively in his quest for his fourth title of the season.
With the victory, Medvedev reached the final of the tournament to face German Alexander Zverev, semi-final winner of the Italian Matteo Berettini 6-3, 6-4.
