The Italian national football team is sure of the European Championship next year thanks to the seventh victory in the seventh match of the European Championship qualifiers. 2-0 defeated Italy Greece and finished with 21 points, the first place in Group J. The Italians reached it as early as ever a European Championship finals. Finland have nine points behind Finland with three games to go, but Italy have won the direct comparison twice. Belgium was the first team to qualify.
Against Greece, Italy only met in the second half: After a handball by Andreas Bouchalakis referee Sergey Karasev decided on penalty kick, the transformed Jorginho to the lead (63. Minute). Federico Bernadeschi put in a low shot from around 25 meters (78 ').
Norway - Spain 1: 1 (0: 0)
Spain have also won all matches of the European Championship qualifiers so far. But against Norway, the team dropped points for the first time. After a poor first half Spain came out of the cab more dangerous. By distance shot Saúl Niguez took the lead (47.). Norway then played the equalizer, but did not come to dangerous chances for a long time. In extra time keeper Kepa, however, Omar Elabdellaoui in the penalty area from the legs and caused a penalty. RB Leipzig's Yussuf Poulsen gave Denmark a 1-0 victory over Switzerland with a late goal. He successfully concluded a counterattack five minutes before the end and made sure that the Danes, with twelve points in the Group D table, were able to pass the previous leader Ireland (also 12) thanks to the far better goal difference.
