MELBOURNE (Reuters) - Russian midfielder Daniel Medvedev has pulled out of the Kremlin's tennis tournament in Moscow because of his fatigue and will return to competitions in Vienna next week.
"I feel very exhausted physically and mentally, I will not be 100 percent ready," the 23-year-old, who has already qualified for next month's men's tennis final, said on the ATP website.
"As a professional, I can't go down the field and I know I'm not 100 percent ready to play. It's very sad because I wanted to play in Moscow against my fans."
Medvedev, the world number four and the US Open runner-up, won his fourth title of the season at the Shanghai Masters on Sunday after beating German Alexander Zverev.
