2. Bundesliga: Stuttgart pats at Walters reunion with Kiel

Zero points and a dismissal: Stuttgart coach Tim Walter missed with his team against Holstein Kiel the leap to the top of the table. The Karlsruher SC brought a spectacular draw in Bochum.

VfB Stuttgart lost their home game against Holstein Kiel 0: 1 (0: 0). Against the relegation candidates missed the team of Kiel's former coach Tim Walter, early opportunities to use. Silas Wamangituka hit only the crossbar (36th), against declarations of Nicolás González and Roberto Massimo rescued Kiel keeper Ioannis Gelios, then defender Dominik Schmidt on the line (45th).

Referee Benedikt Kempkes dismissed Holger Badstuber with a yellow-red, after Stuttgart's defensive chief had held a Kieler on the jersey (53.). Lee Jae-sung scored the opening goal (55 ') with a header-arc lamp, again Lee (68') and substitute David Atanga (70 ') awarded further opportunities.

The defeat leaves VfB Stuttgart with 20 points in second place. On Monday evening Arminia Bielefeld still has the chance to pass by a victory against Hamburger SV at the Stuttgart. The Kielers leave thanks to the three points the relegation zone and are now with eleven counters on the 14th place.

VfL Bochum - Karlsruher SC 3: 3 (3: 2)

After a wild game, VfL Bochum and Karlsruher SC drew in a draw. The kick-off was a header from Karlsruhe Philipp Hoffmann after a corner (8). Bochums Saulo Decarli, who had previously lost the deciding duel against Hoffmann, promptly headed the equalizer on the opposite side (10). Only a minute later, Hoffmann almost scored his second goal, but failed by a header on the post.

In the 17th minute, referee Nicolas Winter sent Karlsruher's six-man Lukas Fröde off the field with a yellow-red: First, Winter had fouled a foul, then interpreted a gesture by Fröde as mocking applause. The KSC was initially unimpressed by the outnumbered and went through Choi Kyoung-Rok again in the lead (21). It took eight minutes until the next equalizer: Danny Blum scored the penalty by 2-2 (29 '), Cristian Gamboa brought Bochum into the lead for the first time (33').

After the break, Marc Lorenz also had a chance to score 3: 3 for Karlsruher, but failed to beat Bochum's goalkeeper Manuel Riemann, who had caused the penalty with a foul on Marvin Wanitzek himself. In injury time, the guests still managed to equalize: One minute after his substitution Anton Fink left-footed the third Karlsruhe goal (90 + 1). In the table Bochum stands with nine points on the relegation rank 16, the KSC occupies place ten with 13 points.
