KUKI BURTENES, Netherlands (Reuters) - Dutchman Kiki Bertens beat Croatian Donna Vikic for the third time in a row this year in the first round of the Zhuhai women's tennis tournament in China.
The Dutchman won the match 7-6 6-2, despite losing in the second set.
In the other group stage, fourth-seeded Arena Sabalinka defeated ninth-seeded Greek Maria Sakari 6-3, 6-4.
