The International Equestrian Show Jumping kicks off in its first edition

The International Equestrian Show Jumping Championship kicked off today at the Seif Al-Sham stadium in Damascus countryside for the “Media Tour” and “Big Tour” categories.

The results of the first day of the category Big Tour, which was competing at the barriers reached a height of 145 cm, won the Jordanian knight Ibrahim Bisharat in the first place, followed by Sham al-Assad in second place and rider Omar Hamsho third.

Knight Laith Al Ali won the top of the category Med Tour, which was held competitions to a height of 130 cm and came the rider Sham Al-Assad in second place and Knight Said Zendaki in third place.

The top rider, Ibrahim Bisharat, told SANA Sports Representative that the tournament had strong competitions on the opening day as the tracks and barriers were designed with great skill, pointing to the outstanding level of the Syrian knights.

Member of the organizing committee of the championship, Raed Al-Halabi, explained that the competitions of the two categories of the tournament are held according to specific arbitration types and different heights according to the international match-jumping systems.He pointed out that the tournament includes a special competition for teams will be held on the third day of the tournament, where the participating cavalry was distributed to teams comprising two teams.
