Former Irish mixed-martial arts star Conor McGregor has announced another comeback after his second retirement. McGregor will contest the first of three bouts planned for 2020 in Las Vegas on January 18, the 31-year-old said at a press conference in Moscow.
However, who should be the opponent of McGregor, is not yet determined. According to ESPN, the two Americans Donald Cerrone and Justin Gaethje come into question.
His last fight McGregor denied in October 2018 against the Russian Chabib Nurmagomedow, which he was defeated by Ko (abandonment after stranglehold). Subsequently, it came to mass brawl, which is why both fighters were banned for months.
Later, McGregor made headlines among other things because he destroyed the phone of a fan in Miami and was arrested.
McGregor now wants a revenge against Nurmagomedow in Moscow. "That's the fight we want," said the Irishman, "the people of Russia deserve it." McGregor, who had lost a sensational fight against former Boxing World Champion Floyd Mayweather two years ago, resigned in April 2016 and March 2019 from the full-contact Mixed Martial Arts.
