Hamburg holds course for the first league. By beating Stuttgart, HSV remains the leader of the second division. Arminia Bielefeld has overtaken the Swabians meanwhile.

Hamburger SV - VfB Stuttgart 6: 2 (3: 1)

Hamburger SV won the top match of the 2nd Bundesliga against VfB Stuttgart. The league leaders defeated the runner-up 5: 2 and increased the gap on the VfB to four points.

Only 13 minutes were played when Stuttgart Maxime Awoudja brought down Hamburg's Jeremy Dudziak with a slight contact in the penalty area. Sonny Kittel converted the penalty to the lead for HSV (14th minute). Also on the second goal Awoudja did not look good.
