The International Equestrian Show Jumping Competition concluded its first edition today at Seif Al-Sham Stadium in Damascus countryside.
Sham al-Assad won the Grand Prix “Big Tour” category which was held at 145-meter hurdles for the first two “original and second round differentiation” after finishing the course in 48.08 seconds, leaving second place for the knight Qutaiba Al-Daghli in 49.65 seconds and the third The Jordanian knight Ibrahim Bisharat in 46.97 seconds with four errors.
For his part, member of the equestrian federation Raed Halabi that the peace championship, which is held for the first time is classified as two stars internationally and its games include points qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics has participated by knights of Syria and other countries in order to accumulate as many of these points as possible, noting that the final results of the championship will be submitted to the International Federation Equestrian for adoption and calculation of points.
A number of riders participated in the course on the strength of competitions and the excellent organization of the course in terms of the high technical level to design the barriers of the game, especially high altitude, while the guest riders were proud to participate in international tournaments held in Syria and their eagerness to be there and admire the level of the outstanding Syrian cavalry.
