Syrian weightlifting team Maan Asaad has won the gold medal in the World Challenge Cup in Switzerland.
Asad was able to lift 180 kg by kidnapping and 233 kg Balnter, ahead of rivals American and Chinese.
It is noteworthy that the World Challenge Cup comes within a series of competitions to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
Asaad won three gold medals in the first phase of the world championships which took place in Thailand last month and scored new Syrian figures, raising 189 kg by kidnapping, 241 kg Balnter and 430 kg total.
