Liverpool have reached the quarter-finals of the League Cup after beating Arsenal on penalties and a 5-4 draw after a 5-5 draw in an exciting match.
Arsenal goals were scored by Lucas Torreira in the 19th minute, Gabriel Martinelli in the 26th and 36th minutes, Ainsley Maitland Niles in the 54th minute and Joe Willock in the 70th minute.
Shkodran Mostavi scored his own goal in the sixth minute, James Milner in the 43rd minute, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain in the 58th minute and Davek Origi in the 62nd and the fourth extra.
On penalties, Liverpool's luck smiled to the full points and reach the quarter-finals.
Liverpool have been knocked out of the FA Cup in the past two seasons after losing at home to Anfield at Southampton in 2016-17 and Chelsea 2-1.
