The Washington Nationals have won the World Series for the first time. The team from the US capital celebrated in the final seventh Major League Baseball (MLB) a 6-2 at the Houston Astros. Thus, the team prevail over the overall 4: 3. The Nats are the first franchise in MLB's 116-year history to win the title without a home win in the World Series.
Washington won the first two finals in Houston, but then conceded three successive Heimpleiten. With two more wins at the Astros, who missed their second title win after 2017, succeeded the big litter.

The Nationals have been based in Washington since 2005, previously the franchise was based in Montreal Expos, Canada. It took eight years for the Nats to reach the playoffs for the first time.
