AC Milan beat struggling Spal 1-0 in Serie A to win their first victory at coach Stefano Pioli since taking over from Marco Giampaolo.
Soso scored the only goal for Milan in the 63rd minute with a direct free kick that Spal goalkeeper Eret Bercha could not handle.
The result lifted Milan to 13 points from 10 games, while Spal, who have only won just one away away to AC Milan, remain seven points behind.
