Defeat in Hoffenheim: Paderborn defends "like a student team"

After their first win of the season against Fortuna Dusseldorf last week, SC Paderborn have conceded their eighth defeat in the tenth season game. In the TSG Hoffenheim lost the promoted 0: 3 (0: 3). The hosts did not need half an hour to decide the match. Robert Skov scored the lead after just 73 seconds, Pavel Kaderabek (15) and Jürgen Locadia (26) increased.

With the halftime the completely overburdened Paderborns were still well served. Paderborn's sporting director Martin Przondziono also saw that, who sharply criticized the team during the break. "We defend there more like a student team," he said in a DAZN interview. "I saw a U19 game this morning, they defended better."

Three early goals, two full-backs

The game ran just half a minute before Hoffenheim Ihlas Bebou was fouled about 25 yards in front of the Paderborn goal. Left-back Skov, who arrived from FC Copenhagen before the season, adjusted the ball and hit the wall over the goal. Hoffenheim then came less often in front of the opponent's goal, but allowed on the defensive but also nothing. With a great parry against Sargis Adamyan Zingerle prevented a higher defeat of Paderborn (74).

Paderborn remains last with only four points, Hoffenheim climbs for the time being in fifth place. The TSG has in a game more than the competition only two points behind the top.
