Ukrainian Svetolina reaches final of tennis final after Benicic pulls out

Defending champion Elena Svetolina secured her place in the final of the women's tennis tournament in Shenzhen after Swiss Belinda Benchic pulled out in the third set of the semi-final.

Seventh seed Benicic suffered a hamstring injury and pulled back 5-7 6-3 4-1.

Svetolina will play in the final tomorrow with the qualifier between Australian Ashley Party and Belgian Carolina Pliskova.
