Hannover 96 have separated from coach Mirko Slomka. This announced the football second division on Sunday. Two days earlier, the team had disappointed in the 1-1 (1-0) against SV Sandhausen. 96 have won under Slomka only three of the twelve league games.

- Hannover 96 (@ Hannover96) November 3, 2019"Unfortunately, it was not possible to advance the development of the team as we have wished," sports director Jan Schlaudraff is quoted. "Especially six home games without a single victory are simply not enough."
Hannover lags far behind its own demands. Instead of playing as intended to play the direct resurgence, find the Lower Saxony in the bottom third of the table again.
Slomka had taken over the coaching job in Hannover in the summer as the successor to Thomas Doll. For the 52-year-old, it was the second term in the Reds. Already between January 2010 and Christmas 2013 Slomka had coached the club as head coach and led in this time twice in the European Cup.
