A coach should have insulted a black judoka in the training camp of the German U21 racist and later attacked him. The judo federation confirms an incident and examines the reproaches.

The Landessportbund Berlin has released a Judo trainer, who racist insulted and physically attacked an athlete, from his duties. Confirmed LSB spokesman Oliver Weiß. As to the reasons, it was agreed that the current procedure would be silent.

The coach is accused of "insulting and physically attacking" an 18-year-old athlete in preparation for the Under-21 World Cup. The German Judo Federation (DJB) had confirmed that there had been an incident. The coach himself did not comment on the incident "due to the ongoing procedure". The DJB's Legal Committee will deal with the case on Friday and listen to both the coach and the athlete.

First, the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" reported on the case. The coach had called the athlete in training camp in Kienbaum a "snout, Bimbo". "I can handle that, it's not bad, but as a coach, you just can not do that, just do not do it, make jokes okay, but insult ..." the athlete said.

Later, the coach then came to the dormitories of the athletes, have grabbed the 18-year-olds on the head and pulled out, it said. "He then hit me with the palm of my hand, almost against my jaw," the athlete described the incident. Only when U21 national coach Pedro Guedes had intervened, the situation has calmed down. "That was really shit, that was just indescribable, the action."

The athlete did not want to call the physical altercation "a racist attack, I'm the only dark man in the team, some of them are quite normal, I can not say flatly, he hates blacks, he has something against black people, I can not say that But I can say that he has something against me, "the newspaper quoted the athlete, who claims to have ruled against an ad.
