Shortly before the break Dortmund came up with three chances, Jadon Sancho (44.), Axel Witsel (45.) and Hazard (45. + 1) but missed the hit.

After a restart, the connection fell: Götze put in the box across and from a few meters hit Hakimi to 1: 2 (51). For more goal threat Favre finally joined striker Paco Alcácer for Mario Götze.
