PARIS (Reuters) - France won their first FA Cup trophy in 16 years after beating three hosts Australia in the final on Monday.
According to Reuters, Kristina Mladenovic worked with Caroline Garcia on the decisive point by beating Ashley Barty and Samantha Stoser in a doubles 6-4 6-3 to win France's third title in the tournament against 13,842 fans at the Perth Arena.
Mladenovic played a prominent role in France's victory after outperforming all three games and making up for a late defeat in a group to beat world number one Barti in the singles earlier in the day.
