Erzgebirge Aue missed a big step towards the top teams in the second Bundesliga. The team coached by Dirk Schuster did not get past a 1-1 (1-0) at Karlsruher SC on Monday and remains three points behind VfB Stuttgart and relegation rank three. The KSC, however, comes through his seventh tie in a row on the spot.
Schuster, who had played for Karlsruhe between 1991 and 1997, did not make it with his eleven on return, the blunders of the Stuttgart and Hamburger SV to use. For Aue it was the third game in a row without a win.

KSC striker Marvin Pourie also failed in the closing stages to Martin Männel (78). Referee Waschitzki also took a penalty kick for Karlsruhe in the view of the pictures back (82).
