Eintracht Frankfurt captain David Abraham has received a seven-week suspension until 29 December for his red card because of his bumping into Freiburg coach Christian Streich. In addition, he must pay 25,000 euros fine, said the DFB sports court.
Abraham had struck (0: 1) in the injury time of the match in Freiburg on Sunday strike to the ground and seen by referee Felix Brych the red card. Afterwards, Abraham and Freiburg's Vincenzo Grifo had come to a scuffle for which the already replaced Grifo also saw red. Grifo was suspended on Wednesday for three games.
A little later, Abraham had apologized "in full" for the incident. Coach Streich said the incident was settled for him.
