White, blue, red - these are the colors of the Russian tricolor. Equipment Adidas ordered the colors in the new jerseys of the national football team but wrong. This has consequences for the upcoming international match.

The Russian national football team must play in the European Championship qualifier on Saturday against Belgium in old clothes. Because: The German supplier Adidas has reversed the order of national colors on the new European Championship jerseys. The new shirts were already available at official Adidas stores across the country.

Last week, the sporting goods manufacturer unveiled the new collection of blue and white stripes on the red sleeves, which have the effect of a tri-color flag similar to the new German jersey. But while the colors black-red-gold on the German shirts are shown in the correct order, they were put on the Russians in the reverse order. Instead of white, blue and red above, the colors are red, blue and white - which is more reminiscent of the Serbian flag.

Not the first mistake

Russian Federation RFS told AFP that they will be playing in their old qualifiers in the qualifying matches against Belgium and San Marino (19 November).

Also in Germany Adidas were in connection with the new jerseys of the DFB selection made mistakes. In the online shop of the group, the names of the players Jonas Hector and Luca Waldschmidt were misspelled. So Hector "Hecktor" and Waldschmidt became "Waltschmidt".

The company had officially apologized for this error through a spokesperson: "We regret the incident and will take all necessary steps to avoid technical errors like these in the future."
