Russia beat Serbia 2-1 in the Davis Cup quarter-finals in Madrid to reach the semi-finals for the first time since 2008.
Andrei Rublev gave Russia the lead with a 6-1 6-2 victory over Philipp Krajenovic in the first game of the day before Novak Djokovic drew Serbia 6-0 6-3 6-3 over Karen Khachanov.
After winning his 15th consecutive singles victory in the Davis Cup, Djokovic joined Viktor Troichki in the decisive doubles that ended in a 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 victory over Russian duo Rublev and Khchanov.
Russia will face Canada, who won their first-ever victory over Australia in the Davis Cup on Monday to reach the semi-finals of the 18-team tournament.
