At the end of its sports season, the Syrian Association of Purebred Arabian Horses held the ninth periodic race today at Dimas Racecourse in Damascus countryside in cooperation with the Arabian Horses Office at the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform.

Seven strokes of the race brought the Arabian horses of different grades and breeds to 1000, 1450 and 1600 meters, amid great encouragement for lovers and equestrian enthusiasts.

As a result of the championship, Al-Hiyyad won the return of Yamen Al-Hajli in the first half of the pure Syrian horses and Al-Anoud net for Khaled Al-Ush in the second half for the registered Arab horses. "Third degree" for a distance of 1600 meters for each half ended their rivals respectively, winning the horse for the Euphrates gas to Abdul Razzaq Asaya and Wardan Aljadaan and horse Asilh seven to Ibrahim Saba.

The fifth half of the fourth grade horses ended in 1600 meters with the victory of Salma Al Fadi Hassan Hassan Safia.The horse Eqab Al Sham II for Muath Al Mahayni and Ibn Al Habayeb Khalid Khalid Bilali won respectively in the sixth and seventh half championship for 1450 meters for net horses registered from the first and second class.

A member of the Executive Committee of the International Arabian Horse Organization, Al-Wahoo, Basil Al-Jadaan said in a statement to SANA Sports Representative, “The association's races are close to the level of international races due to the development of the level of Syrian horses due to its good preparation in terms of training and intensive races held by the association throughout the past season. The horses gave more experience pointing out the remarkable activities that accompanied these races from festivals and beauty shows.

Director of the Arabian Horse Office at the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Ghayath Al-Shayeb pointed out the importance of efforts made to maintain the continuity of these races as a result of the insistence of breeders to participate in their horses in all races of any kind and thus witnessed a strong competition starting from the first race to the ninth.

The Vice President of the Association, Dr. Tariq Abdul Rahim, expressed the readiness of the association during the coming period to prepare the calendar next season, including the speed racing schedule, which will see the return of competition to the Lattakia track in addition to the start of preparation for the Sham International Festival in its second edition.

A number of cadres and participants pointed out that although the last race in the season usually sees less competition than other races of the season, the competitions in this race culminated in each half individually, expecting for next year's races stronger and more friendly as the volume of participation.
