Scene of the game: Whistles sounded from the rostrum of the Dortmund Westfalenstadion. Paderborn's Gerrit Holtmann and his teammates were in their arms. Just had the attacker after the third counter the 3: 0 for the SC Paderborn shot. The halftime score seemed surreal. The BVB fans whistled, but not against the guests, but against their own team.

Result: 0: 3 Champions League participants Borussia Dortmund was to the break of the game against bottom of the table Paderborn already back, but made up in the second half but still out. The game ended 3: 3 - read the report here.

The trouble: "We have to apologize honestly to all the people here in the stadium," said Dortmund captain Marco Reus after the game at Dazn: "It was here today really ashamed in the first half, so we never, never, never 'Never come back, that was absolute shit.' Mamba No. 2: Almost exactly a year ago, Streli Mamba played for Energie Cottbus in the third league against teams like Sportfreunde Lotte or KFC Uerdingen. Today, the 25-year-old scores goals against Borussia Dortmund. Already after five minutes Mamba pushed the ball to the lead, in the 37th minute he completed a counterattack in a duel against goalkeeper Roman Bürki to 2: 0. With four goals in eight games, the striker is Paderborn's top scorer. And it could have been one more. In the 64th minute Mamba scored from a few meters but close to the goal - in retrospect, he may be particularly annoyed about it.

First half: Of course Paderborn left the hosts the ball, the favorite should and wanted to make the game. However, after the early deficit BVB had little chance of attacking, only Raphael Guerreiro fired two shots, but SCP keeper Leopold Zingerle did not have to hold a ball.

So slow: The main problem of Borussia Dortmund was then also the third goal - it was the lack of pace in the defense of Mats Hummels and Julian Weigl. Paderborn's Jamilu Collins conquered the ball in his own penalty area and sent his colleague Holtmann to the counterattack. With the ball on the foot, the attacker Weigl ran almost effortlessly and met to 3-0 - all three goals had fallen in the same way.

Second half: When the crews came out of the cabin, there were whistles from the stands - it was unclear who they were now. The BVB or the opponent? Anyway, this time it was the Dortmund Elf who started faster. After pressure pressing against Paderborn defense Sancho met to 1: 3, then lasted until the 84th minute, before Axel Witsel succeeded by the head of the connection. In injury time it was Reus who headed the equalizer (90 '+ 1').

No reaction: Before the international break the BVB had lost 0: 4 in Munich. Even then, the fans had been dissatisfied with the style of their team, so courageous and harmless was the Borussia occurred. The followers had wanted a reaction, instead they saw a powerless defense in counterattacks and - at least in the first half - hardly an attack.

The injury: For the first time since September was striker Paco Alcácer back in the Dortmund starting eleven, between the central defenders Sebastian Schonlau and Luca Kilian, the striker was barely visible. Alcácer was not back in shape yet - and promptly injured himself again. He was replaced with knee pain. Not a good signal for Dortmund's storm.

Favre in the review: Already after the 0: 4 in Munich coach Lucien Favre had been the focus. The performance against Paderborn was not the hoped for improvement. It will be an uncomfortable weekend for Favre. The BVB could be displaced from the European Cup places.
