In the second division match between Hannover 96 and Darmstadt 98, there was a strange scene shortly before the end: In the 88th minute Hannover's Marc Stendera shot the ball from distance to the supposed 2: 2 in the angle. But after using the video assistant, the goal did not count because referee Martin Thomsen had previously deflected the ball to Stendera. Since this season, the game must be stopped after a ball touch of the referee and continue with a ball of arbitration.

Hannover lost the debut of the new coach Kenan Kocak 1: 2 (1: 2) and slipped by the sixth defeat of the season on the relegation place. After seven home games 96 is still waiting for the first victory.

For Stendera and Hannover it came after the not given hit even worse: Because he complained loudly to the referee about the decision, the summer got first the yellow card. Only a few minutes later Stendera was sent off because he broke the corner flag (90th minute +2).

Already the beginning of the game was extremely unhappy for the Lower Saxony. After just four minutes, central defender Waldemar Anton scored an own goal for the Darmstadt side after a shot from Darmstadt's Marvin Mehlem. Hannover's Hendrick Weydandt had previously missed the big chance on the other side (1.).

In a partly heated second half Marvin Ducksch awarded the biggest Hannoveraner chance free before Darmstadt goalkeeper shoes (55.). Hannover struggled, but met only through Stendera in goal. With known result.
