Iran culminated today in the World Martial Arts Championship on horseback, which it hosted for the third time in a row.
"Our team managed to win the world martial arts championship on horseback in the teams section despite the participation of 64 athletes from 23 countries," IRNA quoted Secretary of the Iranian National Equestrian Federation Mohammad Kazemian as saying today. Mongolia and Romania finished first and second respectively in the individual competition and Iran finished third in this section of the tournament.
Iran hosted the first tournament in November 2016 with the participation of nine countries, while the second tournament was held with the participation of 11 countries in November 2017.
