Borussia Dortmund has brought Hertha's new coach Jürgen Klinsmann a defeat to the debut. BVB scored two quick goals from Jadon Sancho (15 minutes) and Thorgan Hazard (17 minutes) after a weak first quarter of an hour of both teams. Hertha shortened with a goal from Vladimir Darida (34.) and Davie Selke (48.) hit directly after half-time - but since the Hertha attacker was offside, the goal was subsequently revoked.
The BVB won, although he had to play the second half of the game after a dismissal for Mats Hummels, and jumps temporarily to fifth place. Hertha is still in 15th place.

Brandt, who at times acted in Barcelona and was well below his potential, convinced in the new role. He used the space granted by the Hertha, and drove the Dortmund game from the depths.
That's exactly what happened in the 15th minute, when he rushed to the Hertha defense with speed and sent Sancho on the left wing in the top. The Englishman brought BVB into the lead. Only two minutes later BVB attacked on the right side, this time Achraf Hakimi found in the middle Hazard, who increased to 2: 0 (17.).
Dortmund tried to calm down the game, but this failed especially on the active Hertha offensive player Dodi Lukebakio. The 22-year-old was also the one who caused a strong single action the goal. His shot faked Darida untenable for Roman Bürki.
Selke also caused problems for BVB, especially center-back Hummels. He had fouled the Berlin attacker in the 20th minute after a positional error and saw yellow, shortly before the break he could stop the approaching Selke on his way to the gate again only by a foul, which brought him yellow-red (45.) ,
Directly after the break Selke surprised the BVB defense again and scored the alleged equalization (48.), but referee Sven Jablonski took the hit back after examination by the video referee. Dortmund tried outnumbered, as stable as possible, Berlin took control of the game. Substitute Salomon Kalou tried again in stoppage time but was disturbed by team-mate Vedad Ibisevic (90 '+ 1').
