With her 62nd World Cup victory Mikaela Shiffrin is now in second place with the Austrian ski legend Annemarie Moser-Pröll on the eternal leaderboard of women. Christina Ackermann surprised in fourth place.

Mikaela Shiffrin also won the slalom race in the USA a week after her 41st slalom victory in Levi. Shiffrin outclassed the competition in front of her home crowd and put her 2.29 seconds ahead of second-placed Petra Vlhova. Third was Anna Swenn Larsson from Sweden, 2.73 seconds back.

With the 62nd World Cup victory of her career, the 24-year-old Shiffrin equaled with the former Austrian ski racer Annemarie Moser-Pröll and shares second place of the eternal leaderboard among the skiers. Only Lindsey Vonn has more World Cup victories (82 wins).

A fourth place in a slalom last Maria Höfl-Riesch reached in January 2014 for the skiers of the German Ski Association.

Marlene Schmotz was in difficult conditions with only partially iced runway and wind 14. Lena Dürr, last in Finland Tenth, fell after the final run from 13 to 25 place back. Marina Wallner missed the second round.
