Sharon Drucker was fired this morning (Thursday) from Hapoel Holon following the recent results and disputes between him and the club's leaders in recent times.
"Both sides did not see eye to eye on the professional issues which ultimately led to a breakup. We thank Sharon and wish him good luck down the road," the official statement issued by the club said.
One candidate to replace Drucker is Greek coach Ilyas Zoros who was in talks with the team leaders last summer but did not come due to high financial demands. A few days ago, Zoros was fired from Greek Prishtri and now he may be coming to Israel after further explorations were made.
It should be noted that the club's heads have not been satisfied for a long time with the team's ability and some of them have been blamed on a coach who claimed a high player budget and failed to build a good enough team.
The Holon Cup was humiliatingly rejected by Urban Nahariya, after having reached the semi-finals in the last three years. In Europe, Balance stands at four losses and three wins at the end of the first round of the home stage and in the league a reverse balance of four wins and three losses.
