In Italy, in recent years, the problem of racism in local football has been trying, but what happens when the press joins the fray too? This is exactly what is happening in the boot country in the last day after the popular newspaper, Corriere Dello Sport, sparked a fresh racist storm ahead of the meeting between Inter and Rome.
So what's the fuss about? Ahead of the game in question tomorrow (Friday, 5:45 p.m.), newspaper editors chose to stroke stars Romello Lukaku and Chris Smalling in focus as the headline-less "Black Friday" headline smeared them. Needless to say, the scandalous gate has sparked a stir on social networks Matteo Bonti from ESPN tweeted: "It's hard to say that anyone here is in shock. I'm embarrassed for 'Corriere Dello Sport' for their choice."
It should be noted that many cases were recorded only during the season in which black-skinned players suffered grunts during games or inappropriate media reactions.
