Jürgen Klinsmann hoped for his first victory as coach of Hertha BSC until shortly before the end, but the Berlin have played only 2: 2 (0: 1) at Eintracht Frankfurt. Dodi Lukebakio (30th) and Marko Grujic (63rd) met for the Hertha, Martin Hinteregger managed the connection for Eintracht (65th), Sebastian Rode the equalizer shortly before the end (86th). For both teams it was the first point win after a defeat series. Berlin had previously lost five games in a row, Frankfurt three games. The Hertha remains with twelve points 16th in the league. The Eintracht could be displaced by victories of direct competition on the weekend of tenth place.

Eintracht Frankfurt started better, was superior with his game shares. So Almamy Touré came from a corner kick from a few meters to the header, but Hertha goalkeeper Thomas Kraft parried (20th). Shortly afterwards, however, Hertha took the lead. After a ball at the midline and quick switch to the attack, Berlin combined into the penalty area, Marko Grujic fit to Dodi Lukebakio and the striker met from an acute angle to 1-0 (30).

Berlin already led 2: 0

The Eintracht struck back quickly - thought the players, at least initially. But the supposed goal of Daichi Kamada from close range did not count. Referee Christian Dingert was later informed by the video assistant on a previous foul by Filip Kostic to Niklas Stark at Frankfurter Ballgewinn (38.). With the Berlin leadership it went into the break.

In the second half Hertha increased to 2: 0. A free kick extended Karim Rekik's header to the left post, where Dedryck Boyata took the lead. Grujic only had to push the ball into the goal (63.). However, the score did not last long. A cross from the corner gave Touré a header for Martin Hinteregger and he scored with a header to connect (65 '). Four minutes later, Davie Selke would have been able to raise again for Hertha by volley, but did not hit the goal from a few meters (68 '). Shortly thereafter, Frankfurt cheered again in vain. Kraft could not parry a high ball under the crossbar but had been unfairly attacked by Goncalo Paciencia. Also this gate did not count (71.).

Five minutes from time, however, Hinteregger headed home for the second post and Sebastian Rode scored from five meters to equalize (86 ').
