Syria's Olympic team will meet its financial counterpart tomorrow at nine o'clock in the first international friendly games in Zhuhai, China, with the participation of the teams of Syria, China, Mali and Tajikistan, in preparation for the Asian finals, which start on the eighth of next month in Thailand.
After the team’s arrival in China, the players held a hospital training session in the training stadium within the sports complex that hosts the championship matches under the supervision of coach Ayman Al-Hakim, with the commitment of all players, in addition to an official training session yesterday at the main match stadium.
Al-Hakim stressed during the meeting with the players the importance of this international championship because it represents a real rehearsal for the Asian finals, calling on the players to make every effort to compete for the title of the championship in order to enter the finals with the mindset of victory.
The team included Ayman Al-Hakim, technical director, Ahmed Azzam, Musab Mohamed, assistant coaches, Ahmed Nayef, coach for goalkeepers, Ahmed Zeno administratively, I attributed Shakalo and Mohamed Akash, physical therapists, and Imad Al-Amiri as a media coordinator, and expressed Zakaria as a cameraman and Aws Muhammad and Muhammad Mazen Abdeen, officials of the equipment. It is noteworthy that our Olympic team qualified for the Asian finals after obtaining the best second position in the qualifiers after beating Kyrgyzstan with two goals to none and Kuwait’s team with the same result and tied with the Jordanian team with a goal to match it.
Our team plays in the second group in the Asia Finals, which will be held in Thailand against Qatar on the ninth of January next, in front of Japan 12-1 and in front of Saudi Arabia in 15-1.
