On the final day of the group stage of the Champions League, there are still a few places left for the round of the last sixteen. The groups of games on Tuesday at a glance:

Borussia Dortmund in the Fernduell with Inter

BVB and Inter Milan each have seven points before the last match in Group F. If both teams remain tied, the Italians would be in the second round of the final (2: 0/2: 3). To prevent this, Dortmund must score more points in the duel with Prague than Inter in the parallel match against FC Barcelona. Much will depend on whether the already qualified for the knockout stage Spanish champions in the game in Milan provides protection assistance - but without superstar Lionel Messi. In the worst case, Dortmund continues to play in the Europa League.

Liverpool needs a point

Liverpool are leading Group E with ten points, but could slip down to third and miss the last sixteen. That's when the Reds lose at RB Salzburg (7 points) on Tuesday night and SSC Napoli (9) win against KRC Genk (1) in parallel. On a positive note, Liverpool draw against Salzburg to reach the last sixteen. Even in a defeat of the current Champions League winner could reach the next round, but Naples would have to lose at the same time against Genk.

RB Leipzig already qualified

RB Leipzig made it to the first knockout round of the Champions League for the first time, which is already fixed since the draw against Benfica at the end of November. The club has scored ten points in Group G, ahead of Olympique Lyon and Zenit St. Petersburg, who each have seven points. Zenit can no longer overtake Leipzig, as the Russians have lost the direct comparison with RB. Leipzig draws against Lyon for a group victory.

Amsterdam plays for the knockout stages

Ajax Amsterdam, semi-finalist of the preseason, is first in Group H with ten points, followed by Chelsea and Valencia with eight points each. A draw against Valencia is enough for Ajax to reach the next round. Chelsea must win against Lille to move on safely. A draw is enough for the Londoners if Valencia loses at the same time against Ajax. If Chelsea and Valencia win their matches, Ajax will continue in the Europa League.
