Maccabi Tel Aviv has been looking into the possibility of joining Arkon Jackson in the back line in recent days following the injuries of John Dibertolomeo and Nate Walters.

The Yellows have looked at a number of options over the past week, but as of now, all of the players coached by Janis Spropoulos are under contract in their teams and not simply releasing them.

33-year-old Jackson, too, has signed a Beijing Ducks contract, and the Chinese are in no hurry to release him before finding a replacement. Both Jackson and the Yellows are very interested in realizing the deal and are putting a lot of pressure on the Chinese team leaders who will quickly find a replacement and give the player permission to move to Israel.

In another matter, the Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City scouts will come to the Yellows' game tomorrow (Thursday, 9 p.m.) against CSKA Moscow and follow, among other things, Danny Abadia. Two BBC teams have already sent representatives this season for the Maccabi Tel Aviv games, but Other scouts will now be coming to Israel, perhaps to provide additional opinion to the decision makers at the clubs.
