Former captain from Chemnitzer FC: Labor judge declare Frahns termination ineffective

Success for the former Chemnitz captain Daniel Frahn before the Labor Court: In the opinion of the Chamber, the club wrongly terminated. The CFC had accused Frahn of being close to right-wing extremists.



The former captain of the third division football team Chemnitzer FC may now practice again at his old club. The labor court Chemnitz declared the dismissal Frahns by the association from the August of this year for ineffective. The reasons for the extrajudicial termination were not sufficient, so the reasoning of the court.

Frahn had been knocked out of the club by his club after being injured in the match against Halleschen FC in the stands in the presence of right-wing CFC fans. After Frahn had already worn a T-shirt with the inscription "Support your local hooligan" at a rally in the stadium for the deceased neo-Nazi and CFC hooligan Thomas Haller in the spring, the club was then forced to terminate the employment relationship with Frahn. The 32-year-old, however, had taken action before the labor court - and now had success.

The right-wing activities around Chemnitzer FC had been making headlines for some time. CFC managing director Thomas Sobotzik, who had clearly positioned himself against right-wing Famns, then received death threats and has since given up his position.
