Menashe Zelka, Captain Hapoel Hadera, served in the IDF as a fighter in the paratroopers, and to this day he is an active reserve service. In the "Social Responsibility Team" project initiated by the Football Association together with the players' organization, the reason: The fact that the "New Israel Fund" should also take part in the project.

Zelka wrote in a post that he wrote: “Dear people from the Players Association and the Football Association contacted me to take part in the Social Responsibility Team, and of course I gladly accepted the project. An important detail that has not been brought to my attention is that the New Israel Fund is involved in this project. Once I learned this, I decided to retire from the project. There is no way that the New Israel Fund and I will cooperate. If in the future there are projects that the foundation is not involved in, I will be happy.
