Our national coach, Mohamed Rasha, explained in a statement to a Sana sports reporter that the team is preparing well for the tournament to compete for advanced positions in all weights, whether in the male or female categories, pointing out that the team has had successful experiences in all the Arab championships in which it participated during the past years and was able to achieve a number Great medals.
Rasha pointed out that the ages of most of the men and women players allow them to participate in two categories together and thus achieve more bright medals, noting that this year’s championship witnesses wide participation from Arab countries, which will make the competition strong to occupy the advanced positions in all the approved weights.
Rasha indicated that the national team includes ten men and women from Hama who underwent extensive training throughout the current year at the Safa Training Center in Salhab, while the rest of the players underwent a training camp in Damascus under the supervision of national coaches who have extensive experience in the game, noting that lifting weights is one of the games that had A prominent presence in foreign championships over many years due to the presence of a solid base that relied on the discovery and cultivation of promising talents appropriately. In turn, our national team player Ali Saoud indicated that his participation in the current Arab Championship is extremely important because it will bring him together with the best players, which gives him a strong incentive to provide good performance and achieve brilliant medals and raise the national flag high, adding that he has been training for a long time in order to ensure a successful participation In the championship.
In turn, the player Haneen Ihsan drew attention to the fact that her previous participation in the Arab and Asian championships gained her extensive experience and this will give her a significant moral push for the gold medals, noting that there is a great desire among all players and players to encourage each other in this championship and conclude this season with a great victory for Syrian sport in general Weight lifting in particular.
