SV Sandhausen - Hamburger SV 1: 1 (1: 0)
Hamburger SV missed a sense of achievement at the end of the first half of the season in the 2nd Bundesliga. The team prevented the third loss in a row with the 1-1 (0-1) at SV Sandhausen. Should VfB Stuttgart win their game on Monday evening at SV Darmstadt (8:30 p.m.), HSV would still slip into third place.
Alexander Schirow (39th minute) put the hosts who have been undefeated for eight home games in the lead. Lukas Hinterseer (75.) equalized with his fifth goal of the season for HSV, who has had to wait for an away win since August 25.
HSV thus ended the first half of the season in the second division much weaker than last year. After 17 match days in the 2018/2019 season, the club led the table with 37 points, this time the team is only 30 points after 17 rounds. In the end, the good back series in the previous season did not help HSV to climb, the club was only fourth after a disastrous second half of the season.
