Arsenal have appointed rival Premier League soccer captain Mikel Artita as the new coach for three and a half years.
Arteta, who played 149 games with Arsenal between 2011 and 2016 before becoming assistant coach Pep Guardiola in Manchester City, will replace Spain's Unai Emery.
Arsenal are 10th in the Premier League, seven points behind Chelsea, the fourth-placed club, "the last qualifying center for next season's Champions League," after five wins in 17 games this season and will go to meet Everton, the 16th club tomorrow, Saturday.
