Hapoel Jerusalem defeated Maccabi Rishon Lezion tonight (Wednesday) 65:73 in the sixth round of the Winner Basket League and remained close to Maccabi Tel Aviv at the summit with only one loss in ten cycles.
Suleiman Braimo and Jacob Brown have excelled at the victor who comes out concerned after losing Tamir Blatt, who was injured in the ankle during the second quarter and went down to the locker room as he groaned in pain. The young coordinator will be checked during the night to understand the severity of the injury.
Jordan Swing's excellent play was not enough for the Orange to play with just one high (Daryl Monroe returned from a month-and-a-half injury and played two minutes), missing Frederick Bordion and suffered a fourth-season loss in the league that they would finish first in the third round.
Already on Saturday, the two teams are waiting for intriguing and prestigious games. Hapoel Jerusalem will host Hapoel Holon, while Maccabi Rishon Lezion will compete at home with Hapoel Tel Aviv.
