The Boxing Day got underway, and the first game brought Mourinho and his players together with the team in the previous round defeating them 0: 3, with Puccettino still standing on the Roosters' lines.
After the home loss to Chelsea in the previous cycle, Tottenham were able to return forever in their home stadium. The Spurs have achieved three points that have at least temporarily elevated them to fifth place in the table, Brighton unbeaten in the last four cycles and they remain in 13th place.
Harry Kane was the first to put the ball in the net in the 24th minute, but his goal was disqualified by the VAR referees because of a difference. 13 minutes later, Brighton got on the scoreboard, with Adam Webster bumping in and setting 0: 1 for the visitors. In the second half Tottenham looked better and in the 53rd minute Harry Kane managed to equalize, this time the goal was legal. In the 72nd minute, the straw leaf dipped in and turned the score, 1: 2, to the Roosters.
